You know the ones.
The swim shorts that have been everywhere with you. The beach, the pool, the boat. Thrown over the back of a chair in a hotel room in thirty degree heat and dry by morning. Still looking sharp on day ten of a two week holiday when everything else in the bag has given up.
Every man has a favourite pair.
The problem is most swim shorts don’t earn that status. They look fine in the shop, feel fine for the first few days, and then somewhere around day four they start to let you know they were never really up to it. The fabric gets heavy in the water. The colour starts to go. They take too long to dry and spend half the holiday damp.
In the end you don’t even pack them for home. They’re probably still on the floor in the hotel bathroom.
It doesn’t have to be like that.
Good swim shorts are light enough to forget you’re wearing them. They dry fast enough to go straight from the sea to wherever the afternoon takes you. They look the same on the last day as the first. And when you get home, wash them, and hang them up, you’re already looking forward to the next time.
