Most clothing is made to order. A brand decides what it wants, commissions fabric, has it woven, dyes it, cuts it, sews it, and sells it. The environmental cost of that process runs from the field the cotton was grown in to the lorry that delivered it to the warehouse.
Deadstock works differently.
The fabric already exists. It was made for something else, the order fell through or the quantity exceeded what was needed, and it ended up sitting in a warehouse going nowhere. We bought it, had it made into sweatpants in London, and that is the entire story.
The fabric is 340gsm GOTS certified organic cotton in grey marl. Heavyweight, warm, and built to last. The sweatpants are loose fit with two side pockets, two back pockets, and two full size zipped security pockets. The cargo version adds two deep cargo pockets. Eight in total.
When these sell out there will not be another run. The fabric does not exist anymore. That is not a sales tactic. It is simply true.
